In 2013, Fillmore Construction was requested by Lakeland College to provide Construction Management services to build a new 27,000 square foot exemplary high pressure boiler lab and detailed teaching facility onto the existing Lakeland College Campus in Lloydminster, Alberta. Some of the building features include structural polished concrete floors, a 24m long by 11.5m high sloped glazing section, curved walls throughout the building and an open two story feature staircase with an attached curved walkway between areas of the building. The project is referred to by some locals as “the jewel of Lloydminster” due to the massive coloured glass wall.
Fillmore Construction were real team players and their ‘open book’ strategy during design created the transparency and team work that makes projects succeed. Of Fillmore Construction’s many positive qualities, the foremost one in my mind is their tremendous attention to detail.
